Getting wrong output when configuring T1 line

I'm configuring the T1 controller and ISDN switch type, and I was supposed to get:

ACTIVE and MULTIPLE_FRAMES_ESTABLISHED

But instead I got:

ACTIVE and TEI_ASSIGNED

I enabled the T1 controller and the rest, so I dunno. I've gotten this error before, so I'm repeating the same mistake somewheres. A "show run" here will be lengthy, but I can put it in if need be. Thanks.

Are you trying to configure it for CAS or CCS?

I'm guessing it's CAS, since I haven't configured any separate channel for signaling.

I also managed to get it to ACTIVE - T1 plug in wrong port. icon_redface.gif

Yeah, I can't get rid of TEI_ASSIGNED. Driving me crazy, because I know it's some kind of simple error, yet it's taking me hours to track it down.

    (config)#card type t1 1 1

    Then I could input isdn switch-type primary-ni

you have got to configure the T1 connection

    for an isdn/Pri

you have got to use the
    pri-group timeslots

    under the controller mode

I did input that command. I didn't list all the commands I input - just the final error. However, if you want to know, here they are:

    (config)#isdn switch-type primary-ni
    (config)#network-clock-participate slot 1
    (config)#controller t1 1/0
    (config-controller)#framing esf
    (config-controller)#lnecode b8zs
    (config-controller)#clock source line
    (config-controller)#pri-group timeslots 1-12

    Then:

    #show isdn status

    And I get:

    ACTIVE TEI_ASSIGNED

So I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong.

Click the link to see my "show run" command from that configuration; perhaps it'll help:

Follow the steps in T1 PRI Troubleshooting.

Since I have "ACTIVE," I'm hoping it's not a layer 1 problem. Let's see - I have a voice router, two IP phones connected to that (in the voice ports), and one analog phone in the FXS port; I have the router connected to an Adtran (T1 port on router to T1 port on Adtran), and an analog phone connected to a port there.

I know it has to be an input error, since this is the second time I've gotten this specific error with different equipment. I thought I did it all right.

Did you get through all the steps in this link without hitting any of the problems mentioned in it and the T1 Troubleshooting Flowchart it linked to?

Have you confirmed that the Adtran is configured correctly?

I'll let you know how it goes - I won't be able to get to the lab until Monday, maybe Sunday if I'm lucky.
