Anyone worked with Go2IT group?

I got a couple contract jobs for them and got all the necessary paperwork filled out. However the recruiter didn't tell me a thing concerning the actual job and just said it was some easy desktop work. I just got an email from the project manager and he sent me over 90 pages of step-by-step guidelines on how to upgrade server components and manage proprietary software for this poor company.
I also have tons of other documents printed out, telling me exactly how I need to report in to their call center and who to contact onsite, etc. My head is spinning.
It even tells me exactly what files I need to backup, and there are quite a few. whew.

Sounds like you have more information than any of the contracts I've done so far!
(Not for Go2IT mind you.) All I was usually given was a location and if I was lucky a contact. Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/ -

Finished the project this morning, as it went all night. Overall I wasn't pleased about printing out 80+ pages of documentation...and once onsite, I only ended up using maybe 6 pages of it.
Annoyingly, I was practically the only one to bring it. The rest of my team had to get the paperwork from the site contact.
Pretty basic job as an IBM rep, replacing a bunch of PCs for a large hotel, including printers and credit card readers. They had this box in the back which contained hundreds of cookies which are given to guests for free...so I had a snack every few hours.
(really should've grabbed a dozen before leaving, gah)
They also had a soda machine in the cafeteria area. We were allowed to have some for free.
Not sure if Go2IT takes part of your paycheck and I'm not sure how long it takes for them to actually send it. They called me about some other projects as well, so it doesn't seem like a bad group if you are looking for small contract work in-between job hunts.

That's just sour grapes, but the warning is worth heeding - as an independant contractor you should have some sort of liability insurance.All things are possible, only believe.
