Does anybody know what kind of pay you can expect from a CCNA?

That's hard to answer, it depends on what job you get. CCNA is not a job, and you won't get paid for being a CCNA. A lot of sys admins (ie. MCSEs) get their CCNA to be able to manage and troubleshoot the routers that hold together their Windows networks (for example). If you become a network engineer (which isn't common with 'just' CCNA) you will probably get paid better for having the CCNA cert.

Although CCNA is not an easy exam, it is entry-level, hence you'll be looking at an entry-level salary if you are lucky enough to find a job where they let you touch a Cisco router. If you have a year or more experience things will be very different... the hardest thing of course is to get the experience in the first place.

If a good pay is the goal, you should probably be looking at CCNP.

I know CCNA is not a job, its proven knowledge of given topics. Now, you say a year or more experience? You mean router experience- correct? See the thing is, I currently work as a Systems Admin. for the last 3 years in a 2000/XP environment. I have good knowledge in MS and its business oriented environment and how to maintain it but limited router config knowledge. I'm taking an MCP in June then I want to take my CCNA to get the router knowledge I need to get my hands on them. Then back to my MCSE. So next year this time I would have my MCSE-CCNA and be working toward CCNP. But my main question and point really is where do I sit with just an MCP, N+, experience and a CCNA?

Sorry, but this is just like asking how much a car cost. Or "how much a dorctor earns": Private or NHS - GP or specialist - young or experianced - US or 3rd world - smart or dumb...
