NetMasterClass Frame Relay Class on Demand

My employer had a few bucks left in the training budget so he bought the NetMasterClass Frame Relay class on demand series for the library. I'm going through them and really appreciate the depth of knowledge and practical explanations.

Does anyone have experience with the NetMasterClass series of training videos? Their site has an impressive grocery list of CCIEs. Would you guys say they're relatively thorough given the material presented?

I enjoyed their Frame & IPv6 CoD's very much. No experience with them outside of that.

Netmaster are excellent. What few resources I have used from them have been worth the time and money. I'm a fan of Bruce and Valery anyway.

I think I'm going to either convince my boss to buy more of these courses or just pony up and buy them myself. They're deductible on taxes so its cool either way.

Those were the best 2 -- and worth the $$$.

I liked the CVOICE COD module -- quick and to the point. I got it after my CCVP and its a good review/refresher. But again, bang for the buck if you're just starting out would probably go to CBT Nuggets CVOICE CD. Okay as another resource if you don't mind spending the money.

The PIX Course has a PDF outline that goes into more detail than the NMC PIX/ASA COD did. If the course covered all the material in the outline, then it would have been great. It was good -- but you'd probably get a bigger bang for your buck with the CBT Nugget SNPA CD..

The Cat QoS course also loses at "bang for the buck" -- especially when you compare it to the FREE COD available at Internetwork Expert. But again -- The NMC Cat QoS COD is quicker and gets to the points faster -- so if you have the $99 in your pocket, you should consider spending it on this one.

While I'm not a big "video person" -- I really did like them all since they are straight forward and get to the "good stuff" quickly. Plus they easily digestible in small bites.

I'd love to see them do a Multicast one next

I agree with your assessment. I usually dislike video series because I find myself "wandering off" but these are quick and dirty.

bruce and val are legends in the field
their approach to the ccie is mathmatic in its preperation and certainity.

can anyone say consider all options, make no assumptions, spot the issues ....

i still have the loose leaf binder from nmc1 and have read it 10 times.
