Is WINS coverd on the 291 exam?

I have a Microsoft study book that covers WINs in detail.

Yet when I go with the CBT Nuggets video WINs is hardly mentioned at all.

Is WINS covered on the 291 exam?

It's not on the objective list. It's 293 material AFAIK.

However, you may need to do things like know how to configure DHCP to include WINS options, so you probably shouldn't avoid it entirely.

I remember it covered more in 70-293. Know that it is used by legacy OS for name resolution. Know nbtstat -RR and nbtstat -c commands. For 293 you will need to know how to lay out push/pull replication for multiple WINS servers.
