SCSI Raid
mech1963
I think I have a good handle on SCSI drive specifications but do I need to know all the levels of RAID. My book has nothing on the subject so I suspect the answer would be no. I have seen some of the free test questions on the web that ask about this. I wish I had found this site earlier, it might have saved me some time. Thanks

You don't need to know the individual RAID levels for the A+ exam. Although not covered in the
exam objectives
you may want to know what RAID is and what it does in general.
Here's a good site about RAID:

Thanks again for the help. I have had Raid boards in the past, I think the last one was the ABIT KT7A for an Athlon T-bird and played with it some but it does not give you the larger picture of how Riad systems work in servers. Maybe after the test I will look into it further.
