some problems with some 3620's

I bought some 3620 cisco routers for cheap that show this command

oC3600 processor with 65536 Kbytes of main memory

Does this sound like it just doesnt have an ios installed? Or does it sound like a physical problem, I bought a ton of them just because they were super cheap.

I have never seen a 3620 before, all our class room has is 2500's.

Do these models use a compact flash card if it is the problem?

Looks like it either doesn't have an IOS image on it, or the image that's loaded is corrupt. Then again, as the page you linked to mentions, it could also be a hardware error. I'd say your first step should be to attempt to load a fresh IOS image onto the device, (a correct and legitimate image, a pirated or wrong version could be what caused the problem, for all we know). If you're still getting errors after loading up the IOS, then you'll know that you've probably got some issues with the hardware.

Of course, the "device does not contain a valid magic number" message does concern me a little bit, but you'll have to ask some of the more experienced Cisco gurus around here what that actually means.

, if it is a hardware problem can I just install the flash cards ? i havnt done anything like that so I am not sure if this series uses that kind? sorry for being noob.

Looks like it might just do the trick. This article on troubleshooting 3600-series routers suggests that a missing or corrupt IOS image is what causes those error messages. A closer look at your original link indicates that the 3620s aren't included on the list of known models to have issues with the compact flash cards.
