I was testing all afternoon, trying to connect a Vista computer to an ASA using l2tp, the system works fine with XP but not with Vista.

I read this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942429

Does any of you got any solution, I will appreciate.

thanks.

Are you connecting more than one Vista computer at a time? The first (and only one) should be connecting fine if you're having the problem in the MS Technote.

But if you are having the "more than one Vista Computer L2TP problem" Cisco supposedly implemented a workaround as of Release 7.2(3) and greater. What's your ASA software version?

You could also try installing a PIX/ASA per Vista user as a solution icon_lol.gif
but IPSec or an SSL VPN may be a cheaper alternative. :D

it's just one Vista computer running l2tp with IPsec and does not work, I stopped because I do not want to shutdown other users.

I always got something with IKE and was just one (debug crypto isakmp 7 and debug crypto ipsec 7)

I just installed Vista in my home and now I have to connect using access-list directly.
