Passed the 296 today, time for a cold one!

Today I passed the 296 to complete my upgrade to MCSE 2003 and found the exam quite a bit easear than the 292. I studied all the transcenders along with the explinations and flash cards and further read pages on certicifate services on technet. I made sure to study how to back up and restore all topics in the objectives listad for the 296 on the Microsoft website. If you studied hard and passed the 292 then the 296 should take half the time to study and easily pass.

Things to know for the 296:
- domain and forest functional levels
- where and when to place global catelog servers and universal groupe membership caching
- security templates, how to deploy them and to compare them
- trust relationships,all types including win 2000 and nt4.
- active directory recouvery complete and objects only
- CERT services, BIG topic, know all you can absorbe
- wireless networls, if you work with them you won't have problems with the questions
- disaster recovery including NT backup and shaddow copies
- Dns namespace fpr primiter and local network and how to secure
- GPO's how to inplement them, plan them, filter them and test them
- deploy applications through active directory, assign or publish to user or computer
- Review notes for 292

Finished the exam at 2:30, passed with a score of 950. Went back to work for an hour then went for a beer with the boys that turned into 7. bought a case of 12 on the way home and i think maby 4 left and counting. 11:10 pm
