Can't register 7940 to UCM 6.1

So I have my LAB setup.

I have a 1760 - HQ
and 2 MC3810's - remotes

I configured a third MC3810 as a frame switch
and used to the following to get the frame up and running:

I am running eigrp and am ble to ping all interfaces and accross the WAN to the
CM.

If I put an IP phone on the same network as the CM it registers fine.
If I put it out at the remote it just sits there with "opening 10.10.10.100" CM IP.

Am I missing something?

DHCP is cvonfigured correctly.
I can source a ping from the remote side Eth0 to the CM and it
is successful.

You need an "IP HELPER ADDRESS" pointing to your DHCP server (CCM6.x box?) configured on the local IP LAN segement that your phones are on. Until that is done broadcast traffic (DHCP) will never make it beyond the local phone segment

OK....my bad.
Thinking aloud:
Phone and switch is configured OK, it is getting IP from local server (router).
IP is OK from router E0 to CCM....can ping end-to-end.

Possible problems:
Does DHCP have correct default-gateway (local ethernet of router)?
Try adding the phone MANUALLY on CCM?
Be sure CCM is set to "auto-register" phone from that segment?

This is how I do it:
1)I setup my CCM6.0 to be DHCP server (from services management page, select tools/services....check DHCP as enabled....check TFTP server also while you are there)
2)Configure DHCP networks and IP address ranges (from admin-page, services/DHCP??)
2)Add appropriate helper address on remote router E0 interface
3)make sure auto-register is enabled on CCM.

You got it! I forgot tpo add the default router to the DHCP pool on the
router. Bonehead move. Got it up and running and made some calls.

Hi I am having problems just trying to register my 7940 and 7912 with my lab cucm 6.1. I have it all on the same subnet. I tried auto reg but to no avail so tried putting in the static address of the phone and tftp ip address of the cucm but still it's just hanging there? will try reg the phone manually tonight but not sure if I am doing ant thing wrong? Have a very basic lab of a cucm 3500XL switch and 4 phones. from the switch I can ping the phones cucm everything?

please help!!
