Late last year I passed 70-294 and figured that I needed one more exam (70-297 of 70-29
for MCSE. But after passing 294, I received my MCSE, I have the certificate and my transcript showed MCSE for Windows Server 2003. I was a little suprised and thought I must have read the requirements wrong. Today I went to print my transcript and MCSE/2003 was missing. I was never told by microsoft that there must have been a mistake and that I still needed one more exam for the certification.
So, I guess I will start studing for 297 or 298.

Wow. Have you tried calling MS? That's really weird. Can you list what exams you have passed, including any CompTIA that might apply?All things are possible, only believe. -

Did you check the expiry date on your "Buy One Get One Free" Voucher?
On a serious note I would definetly ring them and find out whats going on, all i can think is that they changed the requirements or something which shouldnt affect you after you obtain it or this was a cruel clitch.

Same thing happened to me. I checked my transcript after I passed 297 and saw that I achieved my 2003 MCSE after I passed 294. According to Microsoft's site, the 2003 MCSE requires a design exam but the 297 or 298 exam is not required for people who already have a 2000 MCSE (which neither of us have) because that track already had a design component. Since the NT4 MCSE did not have a design exam, I am assuming that the desgn requirement is met by having a CCNA. I can't find this documented on Microsoft's site anywhere, but maybe someone else here can confirm it. -

Your MCSE may have disappeared, but my transcript still shows that I achieved my 2003 MCSE on Dec 11 but I didn't pass 297 until Dec 21. I thought that perhaps my CCNA somehow satisfied the design requirement but I don't know for sure. Evidently the CCENT doesn't satisfy the design requirement. Has anyone else with a CCNA had this happen?
