Hi guys,
Took the exam this morning and passed with 778 and now I'm MCSA: Messaging.
I thought the exam was quite hard but not the beast everyone made it out to be. I thought it was more on par with the Exchange 2003 exam. Saying that the exchange exam wasn't easy , it remains the only exam I ever failed on. Guess all the studying of DNS etc I did for that exam helped me out with this one.
Had 47 questions and one sim. Lots of DNS and DHCP, couple of RRAS and WSUS, only 2 questions on IPSEC and then just a few random questions. Took about 2 hours in total.
Next up the 293. I've been going over the MS press book since I got home from the test centre and there doesn't seem to be too much new material in this exam. I've skimmed over the first four chapters and it just seens to me that they've lifted them straight out of the Network+ text book and the other 8 seem to be straight from the 291 .
Guess this the point where the tests move from new subjects to applying all the knowledge you've gained so far.
Anyway, off to get drunk. Have a nice weekend all!
