try to see if a community college offers a course.. A+ is more hands more.. if you dont have the experience. but the test isnt supper hard.. its doable if you self study.. -

Just buy some old equipment on eBay and tinker around with it. That's all you'd be doing in a class anyway. -

My advice for you would be the "the book(s)" + "the web" . If you find it hard to understand some of the topics on the book(s), you can always google (or something) the stuff online and there are lots of websites that provide technical explanations for free (like this site
