LAB FOR ONT - Any suggestions for the wireless part?

Hi any recent passers or peeps that are "in the know"...

I just got done with my Nuggets vids, and reading the Cisco press book, and by following my usual method, I do "labs". I also watch Trainsignal vids. But when I look at the wireless lab that is presented here by Cisco:

I see a recommend for the WCS for a wireless server...

Also, I found this neat site with a post from man himself, Wendell Odom, and they still mention WCS there as well:

For those that don't know the WCS software runs around $2,500-$3,000 USD.

Was anyone able to get by without this, or does anyone have a suggestion? I got the ONT lab book from CiscoPress also. As far as routers/switches, I am good to go. No problems there.

Yeah I just passed without using it. Just know the features real well (of both WCS and WLSE) and How you do stuff from certain screens and you should be fine.

I was considering the Cisco 877w ADSL router, which I can find for $599. At least it is something. Also an Cisco AP, and also a NIC. Better than nothing I guess. Would probably run me grand.

Anyone else have anything?

I was wondering this myself after recently taking (and sadly, failing) ONT. I got hit with several WCS and WLSE questions and my reading just fell short of knowing what to do.

I'm hoping that just being more solid on the other subjects will help me squeak by the WCS and WLSE questions with basic knowledge.
