A+ Essentials exam and how it relates to the older tests

I got my A+ back in June of 2002. I passed both the Core, and OS in one sitting. I aced them pretty easily, but since then my memory has became rusty on all the useless BS that you no longer really run into out in the field. I'm sitting here wondering how the Essentials fits in, do they combine a pool of questions that would be on both the OS and Core from back in 2002 for example into one test?

I'm going to spend a couple days reviewing, and re-memorizing all this crap again before I go in to take it. I'm updating it for college credit since it's older than five years. I had no problems with the Network+ at all because I actually enjoyed that certification unlike the A+ which I found very boring to be honest.

I think i got an email a few weeks back that said if you take the remote admin A+ test it recertifies you fully. (just thought you might want to look into that)
