BSCI cisco press Q&A wrong answer?

Guys correct me if Im wrong, I am studying for my bsci exam here is the following question which I think is wrong;
Summarize the following addresses without over-summarizing:
— 192.168.160.0/24
— 192.168.162.0/23
— 192.168.161.0/24
— 192.168.164.0/22

They're answer 192.168.160.0/21

My answer is 192.168.160.0/22

If you did a /21 CIDR you would be over summarizing as this would leave you with 8 total networks being summarized with 4 being OVER summarized

If you did a /22 route that would leave you with 4 networks being summarized. They have four there, and Im not over summarizing.

Did I wake up not feeling right today???? Am I wrong?

192.168.164.0/22 ends at 192.168.167.255 so /21 is correct because you need 160-168 in the third octet (8 subnets needed not 4)

Difference between /21 and /22:

192.168.160.0 /21 = 192.168.160.0 - 192.168.167.255
192.168.160.0 /22 valid host range = 192.168.160.0 - 192.168.163.255

If I could get my head out of arse I shoud have figured this out... Its tough studying for these exams back to back to back to back... No break whatsoever..

I think my brain is starting to tire

haha i know how you feel, I finished my CCNA a month ago and instantly hit BSCI, my brain feels like putty after a long day of studying that's for sure

Yep I hear that!

Good luck with the BSCI.. I hope to take mine here within a few mos. I just started learning it. I see some people can study it for 4 weeks and take it and pass, it takes me a few mos, as I want to literally drill it, and implant it in my skull

Oh well to each their own.

im planning on taking it later next month, I definitely want it to soak in and not rush the process

Don't worry, this is the hardest one out of all the CCNP, at least to me. I plan to take it maybe next week or the week after that.

That's what I've been hearing, it will be a huge relief to move onto the BCMSN

I started BSCI right out of CCNA as well. How long do you guys put into studying per day? at my current rate, it will take me about 2 months before im ready for the exam.

When it's slow at work I read books and then read / watch CBT Nuggets / lab it up in the evenings/weekends at home.

Having little to no responsibilities in life other than showing up to work everyday really enables me to dedicate a good amount of time per week to studying.

I am not currently employed full time and just finished school, so I have quite a bit of time to study. I usually pick up the book when I get bored job hunting and when I am tired of reading go back to job hunting.

I am doing small time contracts here and there; nothing serious though. Sorta afraid that if I get a full time job now I won't finish my NP.

On average I say I put in 2 hours per day. I normally wake up early before work and get one hour in, then another hour sometime in the evening.

On average I study about 3 hours a day - an hour in the morning and 2 hours at night. Although, I probably spend a third of that surfing the net - Damn the very thing that provides us all our jobs.

I do, however, find myself to concentrate better when I'm at work and I squeeze in a good hour or two of reading throughout the day.

On the weekends, I of course put in more hours. I try to study at least 5-6 hours a day on the weekends. Except if I have to go somewhere or do some house chores. I have a wife with a 2 year old and a house to take care of. Its always good to have an understanding and supportive wife.
