EIGRP stub

Shouldn't stub routers advertise connected routes regardless of wheather they are present under the network statement or not. According to the book they should, but I don't see the loopbacks connected to the stub router in the neighbors routing table

The only command used at the stub router is eigrp stub.

What is connected to the other side of the cable from an EIGRP stub router?

The connected keyword will PERMIT the EIGRP Stub Routing feature to send connected routes. If the connected routes are not covered by a network statement, it may be necessary to redistribute connected routes with the redistribute connected command under the EIGRP process.

EIGRP stub process will look into topology table, then check if route is connected, and if so, he will advertise it. To get route into EIGRP topology table you need either use network statement or redistribute (or learn it from neigbor of course:).
