Vista 70-620 exams based on what version of Vista

Which version of Vista is the exam based on, home, business etc. Will either do to practice/learn for the 70-620 exam? I have the exam practice tests, but it would help to actually have experience with the product.

You can install it without a key, so just go with Ultimate. That'll have everything you need. You'll get 30 or 60 days until activation (which requires a key, but you can also "extend" the activation period). If it's just a test machine, a reinstallation or two won't be a big deal anyway.

This is geared towards a lot of home use as well, so if you just go with Business or Home Premium, you'll miss out on what the other version has to offer.

Hi and thank-you for the reply.
The reason for the question, is one of cost. The home edition seems to be from 79-99 occationally. Not so of the Ultimate edition.

The installation media is the same for all versions, so you can buy Home Premium and install Ultimate off it. You'll just lose the use of it when your activation period is up. When you're done playing around with it, you can reinstall Home Premium and use your key.

I agree I would install the Ultimate as well if you are going to study for the 620 exam.

Definately use Ultimate and not Business. Part of the test objectives include Windows Media Center which is not available on Business, only Home Premium and Ultimate.

The exam is based on all versions of vista, in fact one of my questions was a senario and they wanted you to choose which version of vista was the most appropiate.

Oh and dont worry too much about this exam, its fairly easy in comparison to most of the others on the mcse/mcitp track. Although there are a lot of questions which have no relation to a business or domain enviroment, such as; setting up tv tuner card and media centre, enabling/disabling games which do not have an age rating certificate, etc. It's madness!
next up SharePoint... what's that all about!

Yup, I would assume that the best versions to use would be either Ultimate or Enterprise, (which are exactly the same, except that Ultimate is sold publically while Enterprise is sold to businesses, generally through a VLM contract.)

Does Enterprise include all the media center functionality and other Home Premium features? The Home Premium features are a decent part of this test.
