Cisco 2610 as an ADSL router.

I have a 2610 router with multiple Ethernet ports, DHCP pool is configured and I like clients to receive address dynamically. Can all four Ethernet ports on router be part of the same network? In other words, can they be used as layer 2 ports? I want it to work like an ADSL router without putting each interface in a different subnet. Can this be accomplished?

Yes -- Integrated Routing and Bridging would probably do what you want.

Right on Mike... it worked, All you have to do is create a BVI interface, assign address to it and add interfaces to the group.

Be aware that the 2610 has a pretty slow CPU and is only rated for 15KPPS. Thats with nothing else running as well.

I noticed that, A large constant stream of ICMP messages could easily overwhelm it. I wonder what kind of CPU's do they have in common ISP supplied DSL routers.
