Can anyone actually get their code?

I have tried multiple times. I received the email from microsoft but when i click the link it just takes me to prometrics landing page.

I need to schedule my exam ASAP.

I got mine last night, no issues. Try every 15 minutes or so or late tonight.

Go to the site http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=7519317 you have above. Click on Register at the bottom of the page (Prometric site). It will take you to the second shot page. Under related links on the right hand side, click Register Now again. Login with your Windows Live account, fill out the survey, then you will get your voucher code.

You'd have to cancel and reschedule. You need to put in the code in when you register for the exam.

2 questions:

1. how long does it take to get the voucher code?

2. can u use this voucher code on more than 1 exam? for example, i plan to take the 70-290, 70-291, and one more ms electives. can u use the voucher code for a 2nd shot on all those exam? or do i need to register again to get another voucher code for those other exam?

You will need to register again to get a new voucher code for each one. The code is only valid on one exam.

ok still haven't recieved the voucher code from ms yet...i register like half an hour ago. how long does it takes?

They give you your voucher number on the webpage right after you register. Also on that page, they give you the option of having it emailed to you.

ok i register again and it bring me to the same page as the 1st registration and all it said is:

i dont see any voucher or code anywhere or asking to email it to me...wtf?

yes i have windows live id. and following instruction...this is my 3rd time filling out the survey and it doesn't return any voucher code. why do u go do it urself and report back...it doesn't return any voucher code!

That's because the process is almost but not quite complete. When you get to that Thank You for Registering for Microsoft Second Shot page scroll down a bit. You'll see two links that say:

Get your voucher number for any IT professional or developer certification exam (Prometric.com)
Get your voucher number for any Microsoft Dynamics certification exam (Prometric.com)

Click on the appropriate one for the exams you're wishing to take. Generally that would be the first link. Then it will take you to the page with your voucher number and a place to have it emailed to you as well.

I got mine two days ago with out any problem. I am glad they are doing this again. I hope to knock out the MCSA: security by the end of this year and the MCSE:security by April of next. I have 2003 server experience now. Maybe by the time I am done with that I will have some 2008 experience and I can go that route after

cool thx...got it now. since i'm going for mcsa...i chose "voucher # for any it professional or developer certs exam"...correct? what is the ms dynamics certs? what kinda exams are those?

Just signed up successfully for my 2nd shot voucher. I recevied the voucher almost instantly (you get redirected to Microsoft and get two links where you can request an IT professional or Dynamics exam 2nd shot voucher).

Going for 70-620 on Monday .. haven't even touched the book - can still read the book when I fail LOL ...

I like that 2nd shot really ....

one last question...how long is the voucher code valid for? i just got it yesterday...i'm planning to take my exam on oct. and dont plan to register for the exam probably until at the end of sept. can u still use the voucher code then or do i need to apply again and get another voucher code?

I'm not sure, but you can request them as long as the offer is good. Just request another one if it doesn't let you use the one you have.

Should be good until June 30th. It is good for only one exam. You need to get another voucher for the next exam.

Thanks. After a couple of emails and a phone call to Prometric, I cannot use the second shot offer with the exam I have already scheduled. You can only use one voucher per exam. So, all of you who might have purchased a discount voucher, beware, you will not be able to use the second shot offer as well.
