Home Router/Switch Rack

has anyone ever used this home rack for home use?

I was wondering if it tipped over or anything. I don't really need anything pretty big since I will only have about 4-5 devices right now and if I ever expand, which won't be in the near future, I'd probably buy a full rack or something...

I was also looking at some of these racks from skeletek since they look a little more well built.

+1 for Skeletek. I also bought two of the shelves and put one facing forward and one facing backward in the highest slot. I put an LCD on the back one and a small keyboard and mouse on the front one. I have a couple of towers sitting next to it, and it's my little lab station. Works great.

I got the Skeletek rack too. Have 2 patch panels, 2 switches, 3 Dell 2550 servers and 1 4u server on the bottom and a rackmountable KVM switch.

If you have hardwood floors be sure to get like coasters or something. I learned the hard way.

Most go for the skeletek as you can add additional 10U's to it. I dont have one but ive seen one and there very good. something i'll get when i get to ccnp level

Cool. I've decided to wait on getting a rack since I will only have four devices for my CCNA studies. I will see what happens when I go toward CCNP, then buy one their. I may just use Dynamips for CCNP studies though.

Thanks for the advice...I guess no one has used the small Home Rack from Cisco Kits huh?

I totally agree with Skeletek as I've linked to their site in my original post. I just wanted to see if anyone has used the 30 dollar small rack from Cisco Kits. I'm willing pay 30 dollars for this small rack with 4 devices, but not willing to pay for a Skeletek rack with only 4 devices right now. Skeletek always looked like the best deal...even before they were being sold on that website...I only saw them on eBay previously.

If it is only 4 devices then you could just stack them...

Yeah...that's what I'm going to do until I feel the need to buy more equipment. I just thought it would be cool to have a rack in my home office or something
