Next: Security+ or 70-291

Two questions, but the answer to both may be the same. I need these two to complete my MCSA.

Which is easiest?

Which would help the other the most? Does one build on the other or are they mostly different subject matter with some overlap?

Mostly different with some overlap. Security+ helped me most with the 293 but it was pretty useful for the 291 as well. I personally would recommend doing the Security+ first. As for which is easier that would be a matter of whom you asked. I thought the 291 wasn't all that difficult and the Security+ was really hard. Your mileage may vary.

    Per your posted certifications, you already passed 70-620, 290, 291 & Network+

The easiest way to become MSCA for you is pass CompTIA A+. (really easy exam)

"To receive an elective credit toward the MCSA certification, candidates must earn the CompTIA A+ credential and either the CompTIA Network+"

Good catch. If I were stopping with MCSA, then I would definately do the A+, however I'm going to keep going for MCSE and that wouldn't count as an elective for that.
