inter vlan routing SVI

aueddonlineaueddonline Member Posts: 611 ■■□□□□□□□□
I have 4 switches 2x3550 and 2x2950 access switches all with an IP address for int vlan 1

I have a host plugged into a access 2950 on vlan 200

I also have a 3550 with a interface vlan 200 which is the DG for the host.

The host can ping the DG and the vlan 1 interface on the 3550 but it can't ping any of the other addresses that aren't in vlan 200?

I've had a couple weeks off so i'm a bit rusty and this is driving me mad icon_evil.gif

hey not a silly question man that was it, I thought it wouldn't let me configure that without ip routing enabled,

thank for that, it's working now

One way to verify is to sh ip route and see if your connected routes are in there.

One good habit to get into while working with Cisco (and really, anything)

Never ever make any assumptions. Double check everything, and if you still can't find it, either step away from it for 10 minutes and then look again or get another pair of eyes on it.

The devil's in the details, and nowhere is that more true than IOS
