destination address question

consider this network topology..

PC1--(eth0)--SW1 --(eth0)--R1----(serial0)---R2--(eth0)--SW2--(eth0)--PC2

..i hope that was understandable..!....now to the question....

if PC1 sends data to PC2...what would be in the ....

1. the destination ip address field as the data leaves PC1 ?...SW1?
2. the destination MAC address field as it leaves PC1 ?...SW1?

these are a few topics that i need to work on...so help me guys!!

As the packet propagates thru the network, the destination address field will remain the same which is pc2 ip address. The destination mac address will change from each router interface untill eth0 on R2 which will assign the frame header with pc2 mac address. I assume from pc1 & sw1 the destination address will be that of R1 eth0. Someone may correct me if am wrong.

only the mac address changes on the route.. source to destination the ip address remains the same unless your using nat... then it would be the source address on the 1st router
