Define an 'authentic' cheeseburger?

A little place down here used to do an awesome 1/2lb pure beef pattie with ketchup, fried onions & tasty cheddar ..... that works for me

add lettuce tomato pickles and onion and I agree with you. I like good burger "joints" ie: not McDonalds.
