where to start with windows certs

ok been at this for a while....

But I am thinking about knocking out some windows certs....

I guess this is a dumb question when i say:

I am using mostly win2003 at work....

But would you go that route or start down the 2008 path if you were starting fresh?

Start with 2003 and Use 70-620 for your client OS. You'll need to do six more exams for your MCSE and only two to upgrade to MCITP: Enterprise Administrator.

    70-290

Exam 70-620: TS: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client: counts as credit toward the following certification(s):

    * Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Consumer Support Technician
    * Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Support Technician
    * Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000
    * Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
    * Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Administrator

Additionally its used in the upgrade to 2008 Enterprise from the Win2003 MCSE

620 is the only one that overlaps.

    thanks bro...

I guess it would still be good to get the 2003 and then only have to take 4 tests to have the 2008 cert...

If you have a 2003 MCSE, you'd only need two more to upgrade to MCITP: Enterprise Administrator.
