Do I need to upgrade DRAM or SIMM?

How can you tell whether or not you need to ugprade DRAM or SIMM (flash memory?)?????
I installed a new IOS and reloaded my router. This displayed:
>Not enough memory in the system for IO memory.
>
>IO memory available 3601795 required 4194304

My router has 40/16 currently. Given the above error message, which needs to be upgraded? DRAM to 64mb? Or flash memory to 32mb??

which IOS are your trying to run there? have you erased the old IOS out? otherwise you man be trying to run 2 at onceLooking for CCIE lab study partnerts, in the UK or Online.
