Does the router have wireless built-in or is he going to need a WAP as well?

So do you need a wireless router or a wireless network adapter for the desktop?

I had to get a wireless network adapter for my desktop. I went with the Netgear Wireless Network Adapter WPN 111. I think it was around $75 to $80. I really like it. It does a good job for my needs. Hope this helps.
    Taking 70-294 very soon...again

problem solved, went with Ethernet cable but to answer question for the sake of a just in case scenario. They needed a wireless network adapter either pci-e (only slot empty) or usb (couple open)

anybody foresee any problems with running 50 feet of Ethernet cable down a vent (short vent)?

Use plenum rated cables if you do run it down a duct.

In case this doesn't work out, I second the WPN 111. It's a great card and you can change out teh antenna on them.
