Is the Syngress 2nd Ed (2007) the latest edition of the security+?
Is this the book most of you guys & gals are using to prepare for the exam?

Yes, although the 2008 objectives are out now. The 2007 version will be available for testing until April 2009.

I was at borders looking at the syngress book but didn't buy it because I suspected a new book coming out soon. Should I wait? Do you mean if I go to take the Sec+ test, I will have an option of what version I can take?

    thanks,
    Dale

The new Sybex book comes out early November. I'm not sure about the Syngress book.

I was using the MS Sec+ book that I got from a Tech school and was very unhappy with it. There were numerous blatant errors and it was not comprehensive in any way. Listening to me fellow droogs here at TECHEXAMS, I picked up the Syngress book. Talk about night and day differences. I actually enjoy reading this book. So much cool tech info. The way a tech book should be.
