Just passed Hardware!
Just passed hardware with 516, taking the phrase 'a pass is a pass' to the extreme! OS next, anyone know what the pass mark is for that?!

Only CompTIA really knows. Some questions are there for evaluation purposes and don't have any value. It's said that some questions have a greater value than others. So just be sure that you know your stuff and you too can say "Well, a pass is a pass. Right?", or something like that.

Yep! My scores were both in the 500's, and the testing center said that was really common and good, so I have not a clue how the scoring system works. They also don't tell you how many ?'s you missed, just what areas you missed a ? in. My guess is so that no one can formulate an easy way to pass.I do not have a psychiatrist and I do not want one, for the simple reason that if he listened to me long enough, he might become disturbed.

What does 516 mean? How many did you miss out of 80 questions?
each question = a different amount of points. i.e within 80 questions some will be woth 10 points, some 19, some worth 25 etc etc. You need to accumilate 515points to get a pass. If you really know your stuff you can score in the 8/900's. I obviously don't cos i answered every question so obviously got a few wrong!!!!
