Hello there
Does this cisco switch (2960) have the ability to make aliases, ie..
in global config
type: Alias exec siib show ip interface brief
and what about the 2811 router?
Anyplace i can find this out?

Yes, alias is a basic feature available on basically any cisco router or switch.

ok thanks thats a helpfull link,
I don't know why, but for some reason the 2960 switch and the routers in packet tracer doesnt have that command.

Packet Tracer implements just enough for you to do the Networking Academy labs. They must have missed this command out.

ok no wonder, other comands dont work like the ctrl shift 6 x to switch between different routers that ive telneted to , when i type the show sessions command it always tells me no sessions opend... UNLESS im not doing it correctly, do you know if it works on packet tracer?
