Companies make up their own terminology. The only industry standard that I am aware of are from ITIL, in which they call it a "service desk".

"Field" typically means out-and-about, but I think the responsibilities are going to be more or less the same between all of those. There's nothing to say that a "help desk" position at two different companies will be exactly the same either.

As has been stated, it varies by company. I'm an IT Analyst and do everything from helpdesk to network support. That includes printer support and desktop support plus interfacing with multiple vendors and business contacts in regards to service contracts. I do alot, from replacing a hard drive to replacing a network segment.

Same here. Glorified title is IT Support Specialist. Im the sole support for one regional and 13 satellite offices. Everything from phone support, to on site support, to helping higher ups with home PC problems. With a lot of these titles you become a Jack/Jill of all trades.

Information Systems - Information Technology = same thing. You are responsible one way or another for computers, network, holding user hands, etc.

As people have said they will all vary from company to company, however from what I've seen you can break them up some.

Desktop support normal deals more with working with desktop and pc hardware issues.

Help Desk can be just that but also can just be the first line of support from server issues to networking to simply pc problems.

IT Technician is a generic term, same for computer specialist, and Support Tech, which can be for any frield.

As some other people have stated, the word field normally means moving around a bit more.

Don't get to hung up on job titles, find out the job. I've been a "Core Engineer' before and all I was really just network support. Right now I'm a "network support analyst' but I'm really a network engineer.
I used to run the internet.
