Almost forgot to post: I got a job!

I haven't posted in a while. I had to quit my factory job in July so I would be able to continue going to school at night to work on my bachelor's. I didn't mind quitting because I had just sold my house and had some cash to hold me over awhile and I wanted to go ahead and try to get into an IT position in at least some respect so I could get some experience.

One of my classmates got a job and then took my resume in and recommended me and I got hired too! I started last week. It's only a temp contractor position giving phone support, but it'll give me more experience than I was getting driving a forklift.

My bachelor's is in Network Security and Forensics, so I'm thinking I'll probably head more towards the security career path than anything else.

Forensics is pretty cool but I wouldn't have any idea how to get into that field unless working for the government, law enforcement, or a law firm.

So security is your track, that is a very broad area of study from hardening servers to the very complex such as cryptography and encryption.
