Are the Linux certs under Comptia or Novell? Each has a forum that discuss Linux. Is Linux+ enough for the Novell (SuSe)certs? The Preplogic(etc) practice exams are under Comptia, do they cover the Novell side also? Sometimes it seems that half of a certification test is just trying to figure out how to get/aquire the study/practice information.

Well, Linux+ is strictly CompTIA. The PrepLogic stuff is geared towards the Linux+.
Linux+ would be a good starter for the Novell SUSE, but for Novell Certified Linux Engineer specifically check out their website for information:
