70-620 soon, some questions

ShayeShaye Member Posts: 18 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hi there guys
Taking my 70-620 (First exam ever) next week.
I study at a college (MCITP) so got all the microsoft official books and such, and we also got measureup at college.
I wonder if there is any good and trusty additional exams i could practice on at home without paying more money? (paid enough for the college already hehe).
or anything else i should know before taking the exam?
any tips and so on... again - first exam i ever go to :)

thank you very much

Edit: 1 more thing - we didn't learn anything during the course about SMS and i heard that it might show on the test, is that true?
At college they said it's not a part of microsoft studying units that's why we don't study about SMS... (Sorry if i spell it right, that microsoft server managment system or something).

you won't see anything server related on the 70-620 exam...it doesn't cover any domain environment topics or advanced unattended install topics, just regular setup for home users & workgrouped networks. It's not all that hard of an exam if you prepare and practice. If you've got the MS Press book, then go through all the lessons/practices/exercises in there...if you can do those, then you can work through the sims on the exam.

The MS book & practice are all I used for this exam, but I did use some reviews/study guides/notes from other test-takers that were posted on another tech forum...I wasn't a member here at the time I was prepping for the exam, and I haven't checked out the notes here, but you can use those as well. I wouldn't waste money on buying anything else - just do some practicing & reviewing and you'll be fine.

Read the MS Press book and make sure you know/understand the material. Then do the labs in the book to make sure you're ready for the sims on the exam. You'll be good to go. The exam wasn't that hard. And if you do the hands on practice labs the sims will be easy.

    Good Luck!!

If you have a vista machine or virtual machine with Vista on it go through most of the labs from your books and get familiar with it that way while ur studying ur have that visual aspect as well.
