Advice needed

Alright...it's 5.30 in the morning...lol

Anyway...I've been studying for the 70-270 exam for quite a while now. I went through the MS book (actually I went through the first half twice) and did all the labs, I went through the Sybex book and did the labs that weren't ones I do everyday at work, I bought the nuggets set for the MCSA on 2003 server and watched the 70-270 videos and took about 40 pages of notes on them...and then on a recommendation...I used study material made by a company whose initials are TK (I'm not trying to get around any rules of the forum here...I just want to make sure I'm understood is all). The way I used these materials is that I would go through a set of questions, mark ones I missed, and then at the end of the exam, I would go back to the ones I missed and look them up and make sure I understood why I missed them. I couldn't do that for every question as one of the books the materials say is referenced wasn't available.

Now I'm unsure what to do...I can't forget exactly what I've learned. I should have done some research (I wish I had known about certguard). Any advice would be great...and please don't flame or bash me.

edit: The filter got me but you understand what I'm saying I hope

If you get rid of your cheating material right now and continue to study legit then you are fine.

People can make mistakes and not realize that braindumps are not allowed. It takes the bigger man to quit using them and study correctly.

Are transcenders ok to use and are they any good? It's probably overkill to buy something new...but I just want to take the test with a clear conscience is all.

Transcenders is a very preferred choice on this site for most MS exams. Personally, I don't buy practice questions because I'm cheap and I rather study the topics on the test for knowledge instead of trying to cram to pass a test.

I don't think spending more money will make it more right. Just take the 270, then study correctly for the rest of the exams you have to take.

Hmmm...well I think I will do as you suggested and go ahead and take the test. As far as what I was using...it will be eradicated come this afternoon when I get in from work. Pass or fail...there's a lesson learned...and I'll let you know how I do. Wish me luck, please. Thanks for your advice, Mishra. It's very much appreciated.

I'm going to go with Mishra and say that you've learned from your mistake, you're not going to be using the **** anymore, and you're in good shape to take the exam. Best of luck, let us know how it goes. :D

I got rid of the stuff I was using this afternoon when I got in. Also, I looked up schedules for the nearest testing center (I don't live but a few hours from Mishra turns out lol) and the last day for this month is the 19th...and my boss probably wouldn't appreciate me asking for a day off that close. So I'm going to wait until mid January to take it as my only coworker is going to be on vacation for about the first 2 weeks of January. Great timing huh? I think I might just go ahead and purchase the Transcenders pack and keep busy with it. I basically went into this not knowing anything about getting a cert at all lol... Thanks again

Selftestsoftware.com is having a holiday special until the 30th I believe. They are owned by the same company as Transcender and are a bit cheaper. The questions between the two practice exams are comparable. That may save you a bit of money.

Thanks!! Those look pretty good...and the flashcards is something I had been wanting. I've studied at least a little every night for the last 3 months (some nights up to 5 hours), and I just want to make sure I pass is all. Also, like I said above, I'm having to wait to take it (which wasn't planned) so I want to keep busy with it. Looks like that will do the trick nicely. Thanks again =)

Alright...just signed up to take 70-270...and I'm already as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof lol. Also, I just realized I put this in the wrong forum. Wish me luck :D
