taking BCMSN

I have just finished reading/taking notes on bcmsn self-study guide.
I am planning on taking the test at the end of january.

What topics should I focus my review on?

I am using cbt nuggets and skillsoft courses for review. I also have switches at home and at work to practice commands on.

note: wireless scares me

Are you confident, but scared about the wireless, or just scared? good luck either way!

Wireless is scary. I work with it every day and it scares the heck out of me. I guess I'm just a thrill seeker? Adrenaline junkie? icon_lol.gif

On a serious note, if wirless does scare you, you might want to start out with the new CCNA-Wireless study guide...it's a bit more in-depth than you'll need to go, but, as you'd expect for a CCNA-level guide, it slows down a bit and feeds you the information a little bit better. I also recommend the following links that I've found helpful working with it:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/mod_icn/wlsm/wlsm03.pdf - WLSM configuration guide - probably more in-depth than you will need, again, but a great resource

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps4570/products_configuration_example09186a00801c951f.shtml - Wireless domain services configuration guide - another great, in-depth guide if you're dealing with enterprise-level autonomous deployments with layer-3 roaming, which hopefully, unlike me, you are not! ;)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/prod_configuration_examples_list.html - Technotes and configuration examples - Again, more than you probably ever wanted to know about the ins and outs of WLAN controllers

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/wcs/5.2/configuration/guide/WCS5_2cg.html - WCS config guide...this really is the best resource I use for WCS.

thanks for the info red warrior! I am deffinately going to follow up on those links. I have also decided to pick up a 2000 series controller to play with after I pass the bcmsn.

I do deal with wireless at work but its an autonomous setup with only L2 roaming. But I am only part of operations, so I troubleshoot them APs they have issues, but its rare that I have to configure one, especially from the ground up.
