CCIE Wireless

I've not heard anything about this until I went to check the BSCI exam prices on vue's website tonight.

I don't recall seeing any threads about it either so thought I'd spread the word

That is what you call specialist skills!

The first unconfirmed rumor on June 24th

    August 20th

    October 16th

    Dec 2nd thread

And I think I tossed it in the last 7 months update thread in the CCNA Forum recently.

The CCIE Wireless is coming!! The CCIE Wireless is coming!! The CCIE Wireless is coming!!

When I searched the forums for "CCIE Wireless" it just brought up a load of random posts with CCIE or Wireless mentioned in it. I looked through the first 5 pages of search results before posting....

oops, my bad - just behind the times I guess! icon_lol.gif

But it's a great excuse to use the holiday emoticons icon_santa.gif and to remind everyone

Nope -- just happy to get the chance to use the holiday emoticons icon_rendeer.gif

And it really is just coincidence that I bought CCNA:Wireless Official Exam Certification Guide, CWNA Certified Wireless Network Admionistrator (TM) Official Study Guide, and CWSP Certified Wireless Security Professional Offical Study Guide as part of my normal end of year "buy a bunch of books" spree. icon_santa.gif

I'm pretty sure I'll do a few more CCIE Lab Exams before I'd even ponder doing the Wireless Written Exam. icon_rendeer.gif

I've just bought MPLS Fundamentals and CCIE Pro Series: LAN Switching as part of my buy books.

That'll be the 5th CCIE Textbook i've bought then.

    Amazon love me.

Funny thing about that, I think they're ready to move on from love-notes to full-blown dates with me. I just bought a ton of holiday presents for people on there, on top of my own reading list, which includes a couple of MCSE books, an Exchange book, and a suspicious number of CCIE books. Then there's the math and philosophy books. . . but they're just my light in-between reading when I'm not studying for certs. icon_santa.gif

Is anyone else a Prime member (free 2-day shipping)?

Every time I see someone reference an interesting book, I look it up on Amazon, and most the time, I end up getting it on the spot. One little click and it magically arrives two days later. It's almost like there's an equally powerful magic being used to deplete my bank account icon_sad.gif

That one-click option is death. They save your credit card number on file so you don't have to look for your physical card to complete a purchase. (How many times have you had buyers' remorse as you pull your card out of your wallet?) It's insidious, I tell you, EVIL!!!! (I wish I'd thought of it.)

It's shameful, but I like it.

Its so true. I would probably have half the books I have now if I had to find my wallet each time (mostly because I rarely know where it is!)

On the topic, wireless interests me in no way, and I hope its one of those "specialties" that doesn't come up in many jobs (aside from basic AP config). I have a feeling otherwise though.

Okay. Fine. I'll pencil in the CCIE Wireless Written exam for sometime in 2011. Probably December (so I can use a holiday emoticon) icon_santa.gif

I also have a giant stack of new blue colored books I'd like to get through next year.... icon_rendeer.gif

You know you spend a lot of money with Amazon when you get a monthly letter and photo of an Amazon employee you've "helped with your monthly contribution" icon_eek.gif

I got over $200 worth of additional "presents" from Amazon last night. icon_santa.gif

I already have a back log of books to read so I try to avoid Amazon because the lure of new material is too strong!

I worked with VoWiFi for a while and I enjoyed the wireless part about as much as poking my self with a hot iron poker.

Probably because I didn't understand it very well.....

EDIT: I guess we don't need to lure gamblers to the site icon_lol.gif
