Just got back from exam..it wasn't to hard..but for the last 3 weeks i had life like some prisoner..Here is the material I used:

cbt nuggets--as always Jeremy is great, watched 3x
CCNA.Voice.Quick.Refence.Sheet.version.1 read it 3x
CCNA_Voice_OfficialExamCertificationGuide (Jeremy wrote this book) read it 1x

i did not use eny equipment or simulators...just notepad

what to say about exam: it is introduction to ip telephony..i would compare it with the ICND1 on difficulty level..you go from the basics.

that all..

    Congrats!

I might go take this one eventually since I work with VoIP, but the CCIP and CCIE studies are very time consuming!

    Congratulations.

Don't know whether to go CCNA Voice CCVP after CCNP, or sweep up CCIP first.

BGP and MPLS feature a lot in corporate networks now, I just dont know which is the better way to go, (and then of course QoS = CCVP, so CCIP, VP and NP tie in very nicely)

Notepad doesn't have support for command line help or command completion -- that's why I prefer real equipment. icon_lol.gif

Notepad - kind of like a primitive Hyperterminal.

    congrats.Wats notepad all about?

Some people use notepad to practice commands if they don't have access to real equipment.

Or you could open a command prompt and use the copy con command

    Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
    (C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

    C:\Documents and Settings\userwithnoequip>copy con practice.txt
    conf t
    int fa 0/1
    ip address 10.1.2.3 255.0.0.0

After you're done practicing, use the break command to exit without saving or use CTRL + Z to save your session as a text file.
