Printer's Question a+
Hello all members ,here my question, A PC (WinXP)is switched on ,your Boss asked you to install a new printer via Parallel cable. What do u make first !
A.U turn off the PC ,plug the cables(Power cord & Parallel)and then switch
on the PC to install the driver.
B. U installed the Driver directly!
Can you also give me a reason for your choice?
Concerning Me ,I always switched off the Pc to plug the cables because it happened to me rarely to have garbage printing or sometimes it just don't print the "TEST PRINT".

You don't need to turn it off. Just install the cables and then load the drivers and everything should work just fine. -

U must switch the PC off first.There is still current on the port and you can blow the port or even the pc!I like Boobies -

Yeah, you wanna shut down before installing parallel and P/S2 devices. Serial, USB and Firewire are ok to plug in hot.I'm not a complete idiot... some parts are missing.
