    I can't say that all do need to be noted, but if ever we become Guru's in IT. These are the ports we face.

    And yes, you can expect to see them again along the MCSE track. That's why it's good to have the A+ and Net+ foundation before heading into the MCSE.

    Port 22 is used by the ssh, most frequent in Linux.

    I wondered myself since dan_9141 posted the official registery listing at

    Service Name and Transport Protocol Port Number Registry

    By long time agreement manufacturers normally adhere to RFC6335 or they don't follow it at their own peril.

    There are also the original ones embedded in the PC BIOS but those really disappear after the switch to protected mode
