Need Advice, setting up secure router for cable internet

I just got comcast cable internet and want to setup a secure router with firewall on it. I was thinking of using a Cisco 2514 that has 2 ethernet ports and running IOS 12.2 ENTERPRISE/FW PLUS IPSEC 56 because it has the built in firewall features. I have never messed with the firewalls built into the cisco IOS so how good are they? Will they keep my home network secure from the outside world? Are they hard to setup? The 2514 router will be connected to a Cisco 2924XL-EN 10/100 switch. Any advice would be helpful.
