Help with CME v7 on Cisco 1760

I was hoping I could get some help with CME versions. I haven’t loaded CME for a couple of years now and the latest version I installed was cme-basic-124-3.tar

I have a 1760 with the following:
C1700 Software (C1700-IPVOICEK9-M), Version 12.4(4)XC7
System image file is "flash:c1700-ipvoicek9-mz.124-4.XC7.BIN"

Cisco 1760 (MPC860P) processor (revision 0x851) with 92136K/6168K bytes of memory.
Processor board ID FOC10455H28 (1104569380), with hardware revision 0000
MPC860P processor: part number 5, mask 2
1 FastEthernet interface
1 Serial(sync/async) interface
2 Voice FXO interfaces
2 Voice FXS interfaces
32K bytes of NVRAM.
65536K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

Now I plan to put CME version 7 onto the router if possible and I've found the following downloads on the Cisco Software Search:

Can someone please advise if the above versions are compatible and what you recommend I install?

OK, I have a 3725 as well, if need be I'll try it on that?

Can I get any version of CME onto my 1760 and I take it thats a memory issue with not being able to put the CME 7 on?

The Cisco Unified CME and Cisco IOS Software Version Compatibility Matrix shows you the IOS Version and the supported CME Version.

The Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Compatibility Information web page has the docs for the various versions that will tell you the supported platforms and memory.

For a 1760 check Cisco Unified CME 4.0(3) Supported Firmware, Platforms, Memory, and Voice Products [Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express] - Cisco Systems (which recommends 128 DRAM/64 Flash).

For a 3725, the last last version supported looks like 4.2 - Cisco Unified CME 4.2 Supported Firmware, Platforms, Memory, and Voice Products [Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express] - Cisco Systems

To support 7.0 or higher it looks like the minimum is an 1861, 2800, 3800, etc... series router.

Well again, thanks for the detailed reply!. You've helped me out a couple of times now.

That aside Cisco do seem to be a real pain in the ass with the IOS-Software release-hardware ver and so on across there platforms..

I'll let you know how I get on with my lab build in the week.

CME 7 is just CME 4.x with a new fancy name to keep it in line with its big brother. Just max out the flash/RAM and run 4.0 on the 1760 – You probably won’t ever have a need for the “newer” features.
