Few questions regarding written.

Hi all,

I am thinking about trying out the written CCIE exam, but I was wondering if failing this exam will have any influence on my CCNP status, like nullifying it or something?

Also, are there any limits as to how many times a person can try the written?

Thanks for the help!

No, it won't affect you CCNP and you can sit the exam as many times as you want, but you've got to wait 5 days I think between attempts.

It wouldn't have any influence on your CCNP status. The CCIE Certification is independant of the CCNP. You can go for the CCIE without having the CCNP. There are no limits on how many times you may take the written but once you pass you must make your first lab attempt within 18 months.

Also worth nothing is that passing any of the written exams recerts the CCNP.
