    OSPF is a routing protocol using the IP network layer protocol. Therefore, you should have numbered router interfaces.

    I believe the OP is referring to using the "ip unnumbered interface" command which is perfectly acceptable when running OSPF.

    That looks like someone has manually cleared\reset the OSPF process...

    clear ip ospf process
