Question regarding CCNA exam simulations (non specific Q)

I have always been in the practice of doing a "copy running-config startup-config" whenever i finished a task that i was asked to do on the routers i was working with over the summer in my internship. Is that a good practice for the exams or is that possibly going to hurt me? (even though i may complete the objectives asked will that extra 'copy run sta' command give me a "wrong" answer?)

Basically question is this:

If asked to do X

Do i do X and Y (to make sure the changes take effect in the 'virtual future reloads' of the equipment?)

Or just do X and move on to next question?

Asking becasue failed this thing 4x now with worst score being 1.1% off of failing. Along with simply busting the books from now until my next test day i'm looking for any little things that may contribute to that failing grade.

Thanks,

-Jon

If asked to do X, I would just do X. As long as you are fairly sure that X is the correct answer.

I'm not sure how they score the sims so to be safe keep your answers brief and to the point.

what is the 'official' correct way to close a sim?

Can you CTRL-Z out and write mem or do you have to copy run start or what?
