Introduction and Security+

Hi everyone...I'm new to these forums and just wanted to introduce myself. I have a BS in Information Technology and a MS in Information Assurance. I've been in school since 2002 and just finished a few months back. Had a late start going back to school so I'm finally done at the age of 30. If I would have to do it all over again, I probably would have waited a few years and get some more experience, then do the MS.

I work for a small IT company as a Desktop Support Technician. The company develops multimedia courseware for the Government/Military.

I do not have any certifications yet. I plan on taking the Security+ exam in early October.

For studying I'll be using
-CompTIA Security+, Third Edition: Exam SYO 201, Study Guide and Prep Kit (yet to be released)
- Counter Hack Reloaded 2nd edition
- Transcenders

For work I have to learn Sharepoint, so I might as well get certified on that.
