Hi
My CCNA will expire on next year OCT, I would like to know that if the security exam will extend your exipire date? In order to renew my CCNA, I have to pass this security and 1 of the CCSP (or other 642 paper) right?

CCNA - Career Certifications & Paths - Cisco SystemsCCNA RecertificationCCNA certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass the ICND2 exam, or pass the current CCNA exam, or pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass the current CCDA exam, or pass any 642 - XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
You can do either of those 2 you mentioned.
The CCNA Security exam renews your CCNA for 3 more years.
Or you can take one of the CCNP exams to renew your CCNA for 3 more years and start work on your CCNP Certification.:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set!
