Finished Linux+ and LPIC.

Hey guys,

I finished Linux+ last week. Appreciate all the help I got here. Thank you.
Took me 3 weeks after I finished LPIC-1. I was thinlking I could automatically pass Linux+ with the LPIC contents but not so. I got the Transcend exam kit as suggested from members here and failed the first practice exam I did. There are some concepts not covered in LPIC.Overall I like LPIC better. Much depth and quality in contents.

    how long did it take you to prepare for LPIC and how much experience did you have prior to taking the exam?

    For LPIC part-1 it took me about 3 months.. but I was going slow... finished part-2 10 days after I finished part-1.
    I have been using Ubuntu for about 2 years now... just a moderate user.. but troubleshooting had made me familiar with many of the content discussed in LPIC..

    Congrats on the pass(es), and great job on the writeup. I'd say it's time to decide if you want to go for RHCE or continue on the LPIC track and go for levels 2 and 3.

    Actually this is it for me with Linux... these certifications are resume boosters so I figured it's worthwhile I do another certification rather than pursuing further in Linux.. RHCE is a pinnacle of Linux certs and I'd be glad to have that.. but I thought I better invest that time on some other area...
    right now I am studying for CCDA... hopefully I can take it down soon...
