Passed BCMSN

mattsthe2mattsthe2 Member Posts: 304
So i passed today just a few hours ago with a score of 876. Not great but I'll take it.

I was suprised with the ammount of Wireless and Routing questions which surprised me, a few on BGP and OSPF, glad i took BSCI first.

Think im going to move onto ONT next.

    That is the recommended path.

Just like BCMSN builds off of BSCI....

    ISCW is the next step

Wow, I must not have been paying attention up to this point. I had no idea there was routing on this one. FFS. I was planning on taking this in a month or so. Maybe I'll give the composite a shot in Q1 2010...

    Congrats on the pass!

That is definitely interesting. Especially since the Cisco exam objectives don't say anything about routing. It definitely shows wireless on the exam objectives on Cisco's website, as well as voice (Trust and CoS, AutoQoS, Voice VLAN)

Are you sure the routing questions get scored? It seems like they are the test questions that you do not get graded on..

At the end of the test you get scores for each individual section of the test.. Under what section what these routing questions fall under.

Interesting. I took the exam twice a few months ago and I didn't see anything about routing protocols in any of my studies or the exam either time.

Probably has to do with Layer 3 switching I'm assuming (HSRP, VRRP, AND GLBP)

Would imagine Multilayer Switching would be why routing questions are asked on this exam.

You will have to know how to configure a router for router on a stick, and how to enable routing on a layer 3 switch. I can't remember much else.

Congrats on the pass mattsthe2! :)
